Sadly, the time is fast approaching when we say goodbye to the Robinson family, as they move to Yagoona, and Marty commences PhD studies. Christmas Day will be their last day with us. In the two years they’ve been with us, we’ve seen the births of Youth group, Kids’ Club and many of Emma’s beautiful promotional designs, as well as one literal son! We will be very sad to see Marty and Emma go, together with two of our cutest congregation members in Isaac and Levi.
The Robinsons’ farewell will be a special morning tea following the 9.30 am service in two weeks, on Sunday 8th December, which is also the day of our Sunday School Christmas pageant. Please come to enjoy the pageant (we want all of our Sunday School children involved!) and, if you can, bring a plate for morning tea.
This Thursday evening our Parish Council will be meeting with a facilitator to begin work on a church vision and strategy to direct our ministry over the coming years. The results of our NCLS survey will feed into this process and be extremely valuable. Please pray for the Parish Council, asking God to give us his wisdom and direction, so that St Judes’ ministry will always be to his glory.
You will find inside this bulletin a flyer about the new ESL ministry (English as a second language ministry) we are looking to commence next year. I encourage you to pray for this and consider whether you could be trained to join in this wonderful way of reaching out to our community.
