While this October long weekend is typically one of our quieter Sundays of the year here at church, we are entering a busy time! Please get involved in everything our church community is doing over the coming weeks:
- Next Sunday, 13th October, at 4.30 pm, please come along to Choral Evensong, which is an Evening Prayer service, using the traditional words of the Book of Common Prayer, with music led by our choir.
- On Sunday 20th October, at 4.00 pm, our new Life Explored course starts up. Please plan to come, to invite a friend, and to let me know if you think it’s the right course for us to keep running next year. More details on back page. Sign up in porch or Parish Room.
- Sunday 27th October is our Patronal Festival (St Jude’s Day), when we combine congregations for one special 30 am gathering followed by a BBQ lunch in the beautiful open space behind the church. There is a children’s program and church picnic games at lunch time.
- Only two weeks later, on Saturday 9th November, is the Spring Fair. The Fair is a great family fun day with pony rides, petting zoo, climbing wall, BBQ lunch, cakes, jams, flowers, pre-loved goods and more. Please plan to come and help out if you can.
The Schmidts are away on holidays this week, but looking forward to being back with you next week, for all of these events and more!
