1st March 2020

You will have noticed the great activity in our Early Learning centre playground over the last seven weeks as our long-awaited renovation has taken place.  With the appearance of the plants and especially the synthetic grass, it has really come alive and looks to be a very inviting place for the children to play.

We are going to hold a special Dedication of the New Playground on Sunday 22nd March, following the 9.30 am service.  In view of the State Government grant which went towards this project, we have invited our state member, Dr Marjorie O’Neill, together with a number of other dignitaries.

The Dedication will be followed by morning tea in the Parish Room.  If you are able, please bring a plate to share, to make it one of our famous St Jude’s morning teas!

In brief:

  • We have a book stall running in the Parish Room today, with a special focus on prayer. I particularly want to encourage you to buy Growing in Prayer ($10), and use it daily during Lent.  This book has 28 devotions, so it is OK that you will be starting it a few days into Lent!!
  • The Annual Vestry Meeting is in two Sundays’ time, on 15th March at 11.30 am. Please get your report in by Tuesday 10th
  • Please come to the Working Bee this Saturday to help in the buildings and the grounds. There will be plenty to do.
  • Next Sunday we welcome Michael Burke to share with us about the work of Anglicare.
