It was wonderful to see so many in church last week for our Christmas pageant and for the Robinsons’ farewell. Today, Marty will be preaching to us and giving us an insight into the divine truths he plans to explore in his PhD studies over the next three years.
I am very pleased to be able to let you know that we have a new Assistant Minister joining us next year, from after Easter. Rev. Andrew Goddard has been ministering at Emmaus Anglican Church in Montreal, Canada for the last three years and will be joining us here at St Jude’s on his return, to minister amongst all the saints here, with an emphasis on youth, children and young adults. He is married to Erin and they have two daughters Sophie and Zara. I am personally very grateful to God for sending the Goddards to us and looking forward to their arrival!
The countdown to Christmas is well and truly underway now. Next Sunday, which is the last before Christmas, we will hold our Lessons and Carols service will be held at 7.30 pm. Don’t miss this event, for which we fill the church with candles and beautiful music. Also, since this is the last full week before Christmas, it would be excellent to see all of our Christmas invitation cards leave the building this week to be dropped into letterboxes around the parish. Please take a zone if you can.
